Sunday 7/17 Tuna Slaughter, Sydney Mae
Well the Blitz' 71 fish score yesterday didn't last long....
Rich Oba should be arriving at the dock in Winchester Bay with around 90 tuna. And that's on a 6-pack.
Can you say ?

Oh my that's 15 tuna each assuming he was full. That's a bunch of tuna. I can hear them now "Now what?"

Re: Sunday 7/17 Tuna Slaughter, Sydney Mae
Rich must have called everyone from the boat. He sounded that wierd tuna exhaustion. When the trip started he wasn't going to go with the winds predicted at twenty or more. But one of the parties was Charlie Brown, an old Navy Salt. He told Rich: "Hell... Northerly Twenties ain't nothing... Let's go!!" So the other three young bucks hearing that drew up their courage and went along for the ride.
Well they beat their way out thirty miles where Rich saw a nice transition from green water to blue and dropped them in. Bam.. a double to start and the fish kept on coming. Charlie Brown was in heaven working a handline for a dozen fish. Rich said the younger guys tried to keep up with Charlie but Charlie paced himself working that handline to keep going.
Rich said the final count at the dock by the owner of Sportsmans Cannery was 89 fish. A nice mix of 6# peanuts and some fish pushing 30#. He said he only fished two handlines and four rods it was so windy.
Not bad for a twelve hour six pack trip.

Only 89? He sure exaggerates...told me 90. I guess we can cut him some slack
