My boss and several other folks fished from Whitehorse to Robertson Bridge on Saturday and Sunday. All 4 driftboats had spectactular days.
Rumor has it that 1 of the Grieves boats hooked 16 fish.

My bosses boat had 11 fish on and landed 7 on Saturday. One fish was 16lb Native hen.

All caught drifting roe.

I'm going Saturday morning and possibly Sunday on the Smith River in NorCal.

floated from dodge to touvelle, and hooked 16 fish, landed 14, flies are the ticket to the steelheads heart. one fished measured 34 inches, the rogue has been hot since august, and never stopped.

If you want to fish Summer (fall) fish, I'd suggest:
1. Grants Pass
2. October

There are many other places and opportunities, but October is almost a sure bet

Don't doubt the Grieves rumor...If they're catching 10-20 per boat a trip, I know I have a really good chance of catching one or two...

Sounds like a strong showing of winters in the Rogue early. The Umpqua (everywhere) is producing good catches too.

We have seen only 20% hatchery fish so far. Think I will head for Murphy tomorrow. Bet there are some very good numbers there by now.
