Default Problems with an older bow

I took out my old bow (Pearson Spoiler 90#) and was shooting it and then it came back to me why I bought a new bow 4 or 5 years ago. In the old days the serving was made from monofilament and then one year it started breaking, I would re-serve it and it would break after 30 – 40 shots. Then I put tuff line serving on and it wouldn’t break but it would move on the string and create gaps and then the knocks would move. I took my bow into the pro-shop and had a new cable, string, serving and knocks put on. Same problems. Then I replaced the crimp on knock with a D-Shaped screw on knock. It helped some; the serving doesn’t start to separate until after 100 shots. The wheel distance is a little more than my Mathews and the draw length is the same. I would like to get it into good working order, any ideas.

Try tying your nocks on with serving material. Alternate you overhand knots on each side of the string and then heat up the end of the know with a lighter and melt them flat. You can then twist your nock up and down the string to get things dialed in  Been doing it for years-works killer

Try shooting less than 90 pounds!! Holy Cow.! Just kidding really, but man, that's got to put some stress on a string.....
