Default new to ifish

Hi everyone,
I'm new to ifish but not new to fishing, my parents live on the Wilson river and iv'e been fishing it for almost 20 years now. I live in the valley here in Forest Grove and consider myself lucky to get to hunt and fish here in the NW. Well i'm glad i found this site and good luck fishing and hunting in the next couple of weeks it should be good.

Ok this won't be a fishing story but a hunting 1

Last year on my birthday wich is prime rutting season for black-tails, november 1st to be exact. My brother and i had mountain-biked into one of our favorite areas, my uncle had taken a nice forked horn there and my brother had taken a nice 3 point, but anyway, we got up there right at day-break and started hiking up the road, we hiked for about 15 minutes and there in the middle of the trail was a nice buck about 125 yards away. We looked for what seemened an eternity and decieded it was a good buck so i shot ........ and did i miss right over its back, needless to say i was bummed that's the first time i had just plain missed and i thought my day was done. We got to the top of the canyon didn't see anything so we went to the back canyon and bye this time it was raining like we know it can in oregon and 10 oclock. I had glassed for only 20 seconds and there at the tree-line was a nice buck. He was at 327 yards and i took the shot down he went then he got back up so i shot again and down he went again, htis went on for 5 shots i hit him 4 for 5 and the firstone was straight through the boiler. When he finally whent down we got the packboards and got to him, my brother wanted to drag him out whole cause he was so big, so 3 hours later and a lot of sweat we got him out.
The deer was a perfect 3 point, 16 inches wide and 16 inches tall and the deer dressed out at 211 pounds. Lots of people saw him on the scale and where amazed at the size, now he's hanging on my wall thanks to schnieder taxidermy. So thats my birthday buck story hoped u liked it.
