Star Jasmine...So Sweet!

Close friends of mine have a plant I truly envy, it is a tenfoot tall star jasmine that sweetens the air in their backyard all summer. About six years pack I bought one and it has remained at two feet, breifly flowering and then almost showing no growth.This was quite frustrating. Well this year it took off and tonight, as I type, the cool breeze brings the sweet unique aroma to my senses! This is going to be a great summer as I drink in that sweet pleasing aroma!
Anybody else star jasmine junkies?

Yes, Lovely smell! In Thailand they make ornaments out of the flowers and the aroma is absolutely heavenly!
Lilac is my favorite smell ever though. It sends me dreaming!

Oh Yes...I've got one that's about 6' high and 4' across on a steel trellis just outside the window on the N.W. corner of the house. Brought it from our other house 4yrs ago and it's gone crazy, I can smell it clear across the house this morning.

My wisteria is blooming again, without trimming, for some reason. It takes a south wind to bring that smell into the house.

You are so lucky. The only sweet smell we get is the coffee company that brews every day, twice a day. It is about two blocks away. I would settle for the Jasmine or the lilacs.
