Default newbe former lurker

Well I guess that I need to tell a story to be officel. I am not real good at telling stories but I will try It wont be nearly as good as some I have read. With that said here goes.

I started fishing when I was 6 or 7 and have been fishing ever sence then. I first started lake fishing and that was ok cause we could play and catch fish what a life. As I got older my dad got my brother and I a FLY fishing rod I couldn't belive someone could catch a fish on one of them things. Well dad loves to fly fish and so do I. So I was learning how to cast properly with this fly rod and just couldn't seem to get the action down. So dad made his way out to the large rock that I was standing on and started to walk me through the steps of the cast, and as I started to understand how things worked fly fishing I noticed that we had gotten a trout interested in the dry fly we were using so after a couple more casts the trout couldn't resist any longer FISH ON I landed that fish with a little help from dad. I still remember it as if it were yesterday!! Well that is it hope it qualifies. I look foward to learning more from all you fine folks here on I fish.

Excellent story, ryser. Welcome to Ifish. Glad to have you aboard and no longer just a lurker. I'm sure you will be able to help your fellow Ifishers somewhere down the road. I hope that I will be able to help you somehow someday.
