Crappy, BlueGill, Perch, SunFish
I know it's not nice to ask where your fishing hole is but, I don't have a clue where to go fish for Crappy, BlueGill, Perch and Sunfish and I want to take my wife out for her first time fishing and it would be nice if it was somewhat productive so she will see how fun it is and want to go again!
I'm wondering if someone might share some info. on a place to fish for these fish within 25-30 miles of Portland area.
We have a boat but we will be shore fishing this weekend. However, either suggestion is very appreciated!
THANK YOU!!!

Thank you.

There used to be some great fishing at the St. Lewis Ponds, just off I-5. Easy access, stocked, well maintained and near by. It's listed on the ODFW Web site

Re: Crappy, BlueGill, Perch, SunFish
I used to teach women's fishing classes for ODFW down at EE Wilson Pond near Corvallis. There was nothing better than watching as one of the gals hooked her very first fish, stand up in the boat, scream it was pulling her in (and then almost fall in), and then watch her real in a 6" bluegill.  We caught bluegill, sunfish, bass, and some 20+ inch broodstock rainbows in there. Fun!

8-gauge
You might try posting this on the "bass and panfish" forum. Those are the guys that know the spots.

Re: Crappy, BlueGill, Perch, SunFish
We used to catch a lot of Perch in Hagg Lake in the 6-10" range. This was later in the summer though. I've seen lots of people bank fish for them near boat ramp C.
