Is there an all depths Halibut fishery this weekend or not ?

My apologies for asking but I haven't seen or heard anything other then rumors.

No not this weekend...If there is another date it will the 14, 15, 16, that said I don�t think that there will be any more days until August 5, 6, 7. If by slim chance they have poundage remaining they will probably add it to summer quota like last year. But all this is just speculation, until the report comes out no one knows for sure.

As far as I know the next all depth will be the first weekend in August (summer all depth). At leat that is what the people with the clip boards at the dock were saying.

Been a bad year for me on Halibut. The weekends that are good I have had to work.

According to ODFW's website, the Sport Halibut Catch Estimates have not been updated since 6/17/2005(Which includes all open weekends except last June 30, July 1, July 2). Once the numbers are updated for last weekend, if there is still quota left, next weekend(July 14-16) would be the next available for opening, according to the regs on the website.

They should have an "idea" by the end of the week. If there are enough #s remaining for an opener. ODFW will decide on 1,2 or 3 days with Sat. getting top priority Fri then Thurs. Otherwise Aug. 5-7 will be your next chance.

Black Sea Bass...? no problem.
Crab ? No problem
Coho ? No Good reports Hmmmmmm
Play in the Surf ? Getting to old for that.
Lingcod ? Maybe
Chinooks ? ?

Stay home and mow the lawn.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh YIKES.

There is still 19,000 lbs left, They will add a daay or two Ill bet. It was just updated yesterday
