DUMB Question !!!!!

Why do people sell you there boat probably knowing full well that it had a blown head gasket?? It ran fine in the driveway and I had it out on several short trips. It finally overheated a few weeks ago and I just pulled the plugs and got to watch coolant flow out of two cylinders.
P.S. seller was not an ifisher.

I always have a qualified tech check out the motor,i'm kind of a putz when it comes to motors.I had one checked out and the tech said it would take $2000 to get it fixed,i passed

Always have a motor checked by a qualified mechanic!! There are a lot of dishonest people out there!

The same goes for vehicles. I had the same exact problem with a truck I bought.

O.K. I feel a little better, the compression checked out good so it must be the $9.00 riser gasket, possibly a cracked manifold at the worst. I'll have a pressure test done after I get it back togather.
