Default Davis Lake?

Does anyone know if you can launch a drift boat right now at either of Davis Lakes boat ramps?

Thanks,

Mark

I don't think so. I was there about three weeks ago and I couldn't get my drift boat in the water. Too flat to push the boat off the trailer and not enough water to float it some to lighten the boat (does that make sense?)

Anyway, drove all that way for nothing. Now, if you have a small pram that you can pick-up you'd be OK. I think pontoon or float tube is the way to go.

Nate,

Was that at the north ramp or both ramps?

I actually checked out three places. Two of them are across from each other and both are in the burn area. There was only several inches of water flowing through the creek that runs into the lake between the two camp grounds.

Then I drove back out and checked by the lava flow. That's were I actually tried to get the boat off the trailer and just couldn't do it. Not enough angle to slide the boat and NO water touching the boat to help lighten it up some. You can only back-up so far into that channel at the lava flow and I couldn't make it work.
