Default Bunnies on public land?

Without giving away any secret spots, where are some decent places to hunt rabbits on public land, say within a couple of hours from Portland?

Default Re: Bunnies on public land?

I'm assuming you mean cottontails. You know, the edible kind.

I hunt them at EE Wilson wildlife area just north of Corvallis on Hwy 99. However, it's a beagle show. If you don't have some way to push them out of the brambles, you are in for some slim pickings. I'm lucky enough to know some guys who love to run their beagles, so I'm set.

One more thing about that area. Since it's a designated wildlife area, non-toxic shot is required. It raises the tariff per rabbit, but still worth it.
