Hello, I am a new member, have been following the discussion board for about 2 months now and finally decided to join ifish. I am supposed to start with a funny fishing or hunting story so here it goes. Going to the Columbia on a weekend long sturgeon fishing trip. Arriving late friday and trying to hurry and put my father's boat in the water so we would have time to fish in the evening. While loading everybody in the boat at the dock I was the oneto shove off. The only problem was with one foot in the boat and one on the dock this is very difficult when you can't do the splits. To make a long story short I was swimming around the boat trying o find a way to get in, did I mention the ramp was full of people and also it was pouring down rain. Thankfully the sturgeon fishing was good.

Welcome,

Why don't you get out of those wet clothes and warm up by the fire.

Welcome Mr Duck,

Why not tell a huntin story? Did you ever fall off a dock while getting in your duck boat

I've done some very similar antics, thanks for sharing.

A friend was at FR last weekend, killed no ducks, but some guys with spinner decoys were.

Good Luck

The only funny hunting story that I have is when I decided to hunt the mud flats on the lake. Well after shooting my first bird(No Dog) and going to retrieve it I noticed the mud getting deeper and deeper so on the way back I decided to go a different way when the mud started to get deeper and deeper when I finally stopped I was waist deep. Then my 1100 became a shovel/pogo stick, well after 20 min. I made it back to solid ground and swore I would never go there again. Funny now but scary then. Also I now have a lab and will never take her for granted.
