looking for oregon coast crabbing?
I have heard there is a couple places on the oregon coast where you rent a small boat and crab pots, head out into a protected bay and catch crab. When you are all done you buy a t-shirt thats says "I caught crabs in Oregon"
anyone know where a place like this is?

Re: looking for oregon coast crabbing?
There are skiff rentals in both Nehalem and tillamook bays. In Garibaldi the marina store next to the boat ramp rents them. In Nehalem the two places on the south end of the bay rent them.

Nehalem: Jetty Fishery or Wheeler Marina
Garibaldi: Garibaldi Marina
or, it seems like they used to rent boats & pots in Waldport... I don't remember for sure if I've seen them in the past few years though.
My first choice would probably be Nehalem.

I've seen that t-shirt in gift shops on the bayfront at Newport if that's what you're really after.

In Netarts Bay there is a small RV park that rents small boats and rings I am not sure about the T-shirts.

They rent at South Beach Marina in Newport. At least they used to, think they still do.
