Default Tillamook question

I live in Seattle but I'm trying to put together a trip to fish the ocean off Tillamook the week of 7/24. I need to use my new boat. I used to fish silvers there a lot in the 80's but the only fishing I've done there lately has been in October for chinooks. Does anybody have a read if the silver season will last until the end of July? As I read the regs it will still be open for nooks even if closed for silvers. Thanks.

Default Re: Tillamook question

Barchaser, I haven't been out yet, but from what I've read here not much has been caught since it opened on June 18. The stats show 539 angler trips out of Garibaldi for only 77 coho retained, so that backs up the general tone of what's been posted. You can track that at ODFW Fishery Estimates page, and the regs are available at 2005 Ocean Salmon Regs .

And keep reading Ifish!
