Default Waterfowl Theorems

Some thoughts:
1. Within a day or so of the arrival of a large storm, the presence of Pintail and Wigeon indicate birds have arrived from the coast.
2. The hunting will be better during the arrival of a storm rather than the middle or end due to the confused birds searching for better resting water. During the latter part of the storm the birds have it figured out. (see note 3)
3. There is more feeding and resting water (sheet water) after a storm has been around for a while.
4. The reason you see lots of Pintail is simply that they are not afraid of you!
Any feedback?

Tilla,

Very true, I agree. But those Pintails need to be afraid if they hang around Sauvies at all. We saw sky buster after sky buster today take shots at Pintails. We even saw 1 or 2 dropped, luckly they were cited.

Good theories,
Andy
