Default Crooked R. Birds

Does anyone know much about chukar, quail, and waterfowl hunting over on the Crooked this time of year? (I know, don't forget to throw in the rod too!)

Default Re: Crooked R. Birds

Back if the '30s my grandfather would let my father out of the Model A around Post with this admonition, "I'm going on upriver a couple of miles and set up camp. See if you can have this gunny sack filled with ducks by the time you get there."
Thirty years ago I would float the Crooked below Prineville in a canoe, jump shooting ducks, geese, pheasant and quail. There were some chukar released near O'Neil in the '60s but they never took.
I just moved back into Cen. Ore. I imagine that I'll take another crack at them.
