In search of Rogue River info

Im headed to the Rogue over the 4th,Im looking for any info on fishing or crabbing in the bay area, ocean to.

I have not seen many people crab in the bay there. The Gold Beach Bar is not a good place to cross into the big pond unless it is flat calm. I would suggest Brookings 30 Miles South. If you are fishing by boat I guess I took that for granted and maybe your not. The springers don't hold in the mouth like the fall fish do but a few people still fish there in the spring. When you can get out of Gold Beach the fishing is great in the ocean. Brookings is much easier to cross the bar in a small craft.
