Default sauvie island ducks?
Nobody told me i gotta find out if i drew duck hunts, I assumed(wrongly) that ODFW would send a little card notifing me of my hunts. So far i've missed 2 hunts, but it does'nt sound like i've missed much. So what IS the situation out there? I drew racetrack unit for the 19th, it's not that i'm a dingbat newbie to ducks, I've hunted ducks the last 20 years around hermiston, my previous home, and have not hunted sauvie island in that time. Anyone interested in joining me next thursday?

The Hunting on Sauvie Island right now is OUTRAGEOUS. Limits in one hour today.

Its been pretty descent all year (as of November) but today was the first day I was seeing large flights of birds in the fly ways and working the dekes'... We had 4 limits by noon. The storms are pushing new birds into the area.

50/50 Mallards and wigeon w/ a few teal... There were Several groups of Pennies working the area too.
