Default O.C Shad-Pics

Went shad fishing in O.C this morning with my daughter and father-inlaw.They both have never been shad fishing.
We all had a great time, ended up with about 35,lost 12.We also lost a new okuma pole My daughter asked to set down her pole by the motor and a couple minutes later a fish hit it so hard it DOVE out the boat and floated away!If anybody spots it,you can have the fish if i can have the pole.

I told my father-inlaw to take some shad home to smoke,Wait till he finds all those bones I hope he'll still talk to me.

That smile says everything.
Looks like still plenty to be caught.
Bummer about the pole.

GREAT PICTURES! Especially that last one.

This post is a great reminder that the shad season is winding down (there's still a TON out there right now though). Shad fishing is the best (IMO) time to take a kid out fishing with you, or someone who doesn't get out much, it could be you elderly neighbor that "used to fish all the time when he was a young whippersnapper". If you haven't done so already, you're about to miss the best time to do it, so call them up and get them out there!

Again, great post, THAT is what it's all about!

Awesome!

I wish I could have gotten in on it this year.

My 6 year old would have loved it.

He will just have to wait till the Silver and Pinks open out of Everett

There is more than one pole lurking in the depths there. . Next time you should use a PFD (Pole Floatation Device). Great pictures.
