The word i hear is that there is a new film that will be shown on the Discovery channel that shows a female w/a young one on her shoulder.....

It supposedly has been reviewed by Pac. Survey Supply of Medford for a range of motion study and they claim it is for real.... It will supposedly be on Jan 9 2003. Stay tuned all you skeptics!

I wondered how long it would take for someone to ask your question. I think it is the Chinook Tribe that has a carved head-dress of one that goes back a few hundred years. My guess is that Wallace didn't think it up, but did capitalize on the folklore. Anyway, I think Wallace would have been a fun guy to know.
