Re: heres the one I had to let go!
Do you mean Summer Chinook? Nice fish though. The sad thing is that some netter will probably be bonking it over the head later anyway! :depressed: :depressed:

Re: heres the one I had to let go!
Nice pics!
Dont feel too bad its been the same thing here in the valley, all the nice big and brite ones I have been lucky enough to land have had to be let go as well, (those darn extra fins anyway)
Looks like a healthy one....I bet that one put up a good fight!

Nice fish. Its all about the Karma. This seems to be
my luck too. The netters will probably be bonking
it someday anyway.

Congrats on your first. Even though you had to release it, that thing is a pig. Looks to be a very very thick fish.
Now go get another !

I agree with MPT. That ain't no springer. That's a summer Chinook bound for the upper Columbia (Methow area).
It's still an incredible sight. Nice fish!

We smacked one about that size two weeks ago and it was not on the Columbia and it was not a summer fish either. That is a beaut Bent rod thanks for the pics!

Nice Fish! I once had someone knock the hook off of a clipped fish as he was netting it for me, so don't feel bad. You did the right thing.
