Default Newport Crabbing Help?

I would like to take my kids crabbing on friday and was wondering if somebody could help me out and give me some general directions as to where to start. I have never crabbed in newport, I don't want your secret spots, just some direction as to where we should start. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Mrduckman

Mrduckman,
The tides are running pretty fast this week, so I would recommend that you crab in the widest part of the bay, near the big green nateral gas tank. One hour before until one hour after high or low tide. Chicken or turkey works best, so the seals will leave you alone.
