Default Big AK Bear

First time posting on the hunting forum, not really a hunter but I thought some people would like to see this.

I got this emailed to me from a relaiable source, my stepdads partner, who is a hunter this is the story that they forwarded with it...

Bill/Matt:

The following pictures are of a guy who works for the forest service in Alaska. He was out deer hunting. A large...large world record Griz charged him from about 50 yards away. The guy unloaded a 7mm Mag Semi-auto into the bear and it dropped a few feet from him. The thing was still alive so he reloaded and capped it in the head. Over one thousand six hundred pounds, 12'6" high at the shoulder. It's a world record.

The bear had killed a couple of other people. Of course, the game department did not let him keep it.

Think about it. This thing on it's hind legs could walk up to the average single story house and could look on the roof at eye level.

I would need clean underwear after this.

Deano

5-cents - A link to the story on this bear was posted last week. The story is a little different than you heard. He went after the bear and had a permit. Here's the link again:

Still..... YIKES

You have to admit the old ticker would be beating overtime if that thing was 10 yards from you and heading toward you!

Yep -always a question of who's huntin' who with those guys. I think I'll stick to Feeeesshh. Only gotta worry about staying in the boat then (contrary to one of my favorite al ltime movies- they don't come in the boat after you).

No wait. Wasn't that up in the Eagle Caps?? And I heard there is a huge conspiracy with the Fish and Wildlife department to keep it a secret because the bear is eating all of the hikers.......LOL
