Re: heard about new fishing web site
It's not new, been around for a while. It is a mix of a lot of different people, just like ifish. There are many fishing forums. Ifish and QFA are just two of them.

Re: heard about new fishing web site
Bauer Buoy, to answer your question qualityfishing is more recent than ifish, but you will be surprised how many people from Ifish are members over there!! It is a good site that is run by a guide. I like to go to quality to seek other points and opinions somtimes, but you said guys said it...Ifish is the best

Two other sites are http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/ which is more for the Seattle/upper penninsula area and http://www.steelheader.net/home/default.shtml. Enjoy.

Re: heard about new fishing web site
Off all the boards, I tend to frequent (not in any order or preference):
ifish, PP, and QF.
I personally feel you get out of a fishing board to what you put in to it. I tend to enjoy posting techniques, tips, reports, and photos.
I just know the audience of each board and post when appropriate...I hope.
I am one of the rare few who don't believe that all of you out on the internet are running to fishing locations based off of posts on these boards, so I tend to give out a lot of information. Please tell me you don't flock to the "hot spot" because someone posted it on one of these boards...
Good luck out there and go fishing!

Yes, there are those that hide behind a different moniker, for whatever reason :whazzup: and those of us that really don't feel the need to hide !!

I go by Pearl on the ifish board and Tyee Warrior on the Quality board.
I'm not hiding and don't have a need to - I have been on ifish for a few years now and who hasn't wished they may have chossen a different moniker after thinking about it for a couple of years. I just thought I would change it up a bit. No hidden agenda.
Pearl aka The Tyee Warrior
There, I'm out of the closet and everyone knows.

Now that's funny...I don't care who you are!
I'm registered over there as txag but haven't yet posted (heck I've barely posted 200+ in a couple of years here)...I was too lazy to add the remaining "gie" to match my moniker here.
I enjoy both sites for the "different perspectives" some offer.

I'm a member of all three boards Parker mentioned, with a different but related moniker for each. Listed in the order I signed on as a registered member:
PP = fishNphysician
IF = <font color="red">eye</font><font color="blue">FISH</font>
QFA = KeenEyeMD

Re: heard about new fishing web site
Parker,
I am not afraid to admit that your reports get me up to the North Fork Lewis every once in a while. I am already planning with my Vancouver friends for a trip. Normally we wait for sled traffic to slow and go in August, but because of the slow season on our rivers,your recent report and low enough flows, we're going in June for the first time ever.
Also, Kieth's reports of November chinook and photos of bright ones, got me up there twice last year for the 'winter' chinook.
This is not meant to be an inflammatory post. It is 100% truth. I look at PP board for entertainment and reports. I used to live in Seattle and fished where most of you guys talk about on that board, so it makes it interesting for me. Look for a forest green DB on the upper drift fron the dam to the hatchery and occasionally down to the golf course.
Ed

This site has morals and good moderators which make all the difference. Sometimes it is annoying when you posts get edited but it keeps the forum straight and of good nature. This is the only site you need to visit...

Doc, I got a chance to try out your advanced filleting technique the other night and had good results. While not as proficient as you are, I still managed to leave a feather light carcass and got some awesome fillets for the BBQ.
Thanks for sharing
