Default timothy lake trout abnormalities

Fished Timothy Lake last week. Had perfect weather Wedsnesday and lots of fish! We were surprised to find
fish with what appeared to be lumps under their
skin, open sores, and or red circles on their bodies.
We released all fish in this condition. I called the
ODFW and learned "strawberry disease" was responsible
for the condition of some trout. I was told it is not
harmfull to humans and to cut away the spots when
preparing the fish for cooking. The fish, when released,
will return to normal condition in time.

Caught the same sort of fish in Trillium Lake. They are nasty looking and feel pretty wierd too. They seemed to fight well on the fly rod, and swam away just fine when released.
