Default Happy Fathers Day!---Proud of my Pops--52 Chev

All

Just got some pics from my Dad...I am so proud of him, he has been working tirelessly for about 3 years on this truck...this truck was in pretty rough shape being used for wood hauling etc by my grandfather, but he has brought it from work truck to a real thing of beauty!

The history of this particular truck is pretty cool, as my Dad has all the registrations etc clear back to the day it was bought off the lot!

Thought I would show off the truck, and how proud I am of my Dad on this fathers day weekend!
Enjoy!

That is very nice! - a great father's day tribute.

My dad was never very handy, but he tried. He build lots of model ships from kits that turned out pretty nice, but was also known to fix broken windows with duct tape. It's been 6 years, but I miss him as much now as the day he passed.

We used to have a bright blue one exactly like that when I was little! I loved that truck!
It took me to Clackamas to fish trout, and on the logging roads around Canby. I learned to drive in it!!!

Good memories!

Wow! Very nice!! I learned to drive a "49" model of that truck! Loved it! Would love to have it now but older bro decided to take it off road during an endo and roll practice and turned it into instant toast. Him and cousin were very lucky to walk away from that one! Ff

Very nice truck! It looks like he did a great job restoring it.

Nice Ride, it looks like it should be in a parade or shown at classic auto shows.

Thanks all for the kind words...he has worked extremely hard on this truck...and will continue working probably forever on it...

If I can remember right, the only mod's he made to the truck where the rear tail lights that he flush mounted on the back...

Now that he is getting this project done, maybe I can get him to uncover the boat and go fishin!

I am trying to get him to Join the Vintiques club...but he is more interested in taking it to the Rods and Harley gatherings back home.

I cant say enough how happy and proud I am of him for this truck....I really wish I had some before pics of the truck..but needless to say...she wasnt pretty before!
