New Gun
Picked up my New gun today. It is a Remington Classic in .300 Weatherby mag. Now I just need to go get a Leupold to put on it and go get some shots in.
This gun is 13 years old and been shot very little. I have to Say thanks to the Oregon Trail Trader in La Grande. I bought this gun sight unseen and it is in better shape than Les described to me, Looks brand New. Couldn't beat the price either, it was at least $200 less than any other one I found in this model. So thanks Les.
Time to get online and start lookng for Reloading equip for this one  Christmas Came early.

Re: New Gun
Your honeymoon phase is lasting a long time with your wife
Get em while you can, it wont be long and she will be spending your toy money on plates , drapes , knicknacks , shoes , decorations and other useless stuff.

You might want that shotgun of your dreams and a good hunting dog before she assumes the full time "CFO" roll. Its a long time to wait to outlive them to get your checkbook back.

Re: New Gun
Hey Roy, yeah I have been doing pretty good at getting a few of the toys I want so far. Since I take care of the money it makes it easier  She was wise to the fact that I sold a pistol and told her it was so I could buy this gun but she figured out that this one cost a lot more than I got for the pistol
BigShark, there actually is another shotgun I want but I can live without it for now. Already have the great hunting dog. Chocolate lab and the wife knows that when this one can't hunt anymore there will be another one. Like I told Roy, I have checkbook control and always will  yeah rigthwe will see how long that last's but for now that is how it is.

Re: New Gun
I've known Les for going on 30 years. If you're looking for a certain firearm, fish or game report in NE Ore., etc. give him a call at 541-963-2913. This Sunday we'll be using his Vizsla, Max and my new one, Ryker, to hassle some birds near Vale. If they fly, they die.

Re: New Gun
Bukubass, tell Les thanks for me. Like I said he was great to deal with and seemed like a great guy on the phone. I will call him next time I am looking for a hard to find gun for sure.

Re: New Gun
Was out running Errands today. After stoping in at fishermans looking for a trigger pull scale. I went up to Northwest Armory to pick one up and ended up with a new scope for the new gun  I put a Leupold VXII 4x12 with an adjustable Objective on it. Now I am really itching to go shoot it. Also gotta say I looke don the internet a lot and the price I got today matched the best price I could find online and didnt have to pay shipping. Northwest Armory has pretty good prices if you need a Leupold at least.
Was checking the gun out and the triger pull is just over 2lbs and it also has a glass bedded barrel. The deal I got gets better and better.
