Pheasants anyone?
Since my hunting partner can no longer walk more than 5 min(heart) I have been looking for a new partner(s). Iusually go to Pendleton 3 or 4 times a year to hunt the reservation, which for $11 a year for 660,000 acres is a great bargain with lots of wild wiley roosters. Also make at least one trip to Nyssa Vale area where I have acess to 3 ranches. If you have never hunted Beets you are in for a treat. Anyone interested in theses trips especially next year email me and maybe even a group will form to hunt these great birds.

Re: Pheasants anyone?
AD11, what a guy!! you offer guided buck hunts (and no one takes you up), open seats for sturgeon fishing, and now pheasents. That's the spirit! That's why I keep coming back to Ifish, alot of nice guys, like you If you see the red thunderjet saturday, pull up and say hi, i'll be somewhere around horsetail falls

Re: Pheasants anyone?
I would love to take you up on that. I have a very well trained weimeraner who knows how to find lots of wild wiley roosters, and have had similar luck w/hunting partners. Also the areas I used to hunt out of wasco / sherman / gilliam counties have mostly gone to leases. As much as I like to hunt roosters, I can't see paying $1,200 for the priviledge. Had me so depressed this year that I only went to Sauvies Island once and EE Wilson twice. The stocker birds in those zoos just arnt the same, so I said screw it and bagged the whole deal. Never even went east this year.

Re: Pheasants anyone?
Oh, and I hunted beets years ago in Idaho, that was a blast, didn't know they did sugar beets in Oregon. We hunted Watermelon patches around Hermiston years ago. Went back to that place last year and found the farm we used to hunt was now a Walmart and houses.

Im a pheasant rookie (been a few times, kicked up a few roosters), and would love to go with someone who actually knows what they are doing
Email me at jeepmcse@yahoo.com if you ever find yourself without a buddy for a trip!

Re: Pheasants anyone?
Add me to your list of contacts if you don't mind. My lab just turned 10, and is still going strong. Having been a chukar dog most of her life, she has been "evolving" into more of a waterfowl and rooster hunter over the last 2 seasons. Much prefer the wild to the pen raised, but I must admit we have done EE a couple of times over the years.
We will actually be over in Pendleton next weekend with a buddy of mine who has lived there for years. Enough said... Have also been on the Res. before, and had a ball!! Would look forward to trying to swing a trip or 2 (or 3?) next season, if you're in need of an accomplice.
Love them longspurs!

Re: Pheasants anyone?
Can I go PLEASSSSSSSE!!!! Next year I'm going to do a lot more upland hunting. My young lab is having surgery here next month so I'm afraid he won't hunt this fall, but the last few years when I was living in Klamath I killed 41, and 45 pheasants with him. He's a stud when it comes to thick cover. Anyhow, keep me in mind. I can trek for miles for those puppies and love to do it.
