Default Collection of horns...

What is the largest collection of horns you have seen in any one place? I am talking of horns that every animal was killed by a family member. Here in the valley near Salem, I met a man that has the most awesome collection of racks from spike elk to massive 7 X 7s. From 3 point blacktail to a recordbook 5 X 4 he shot this year that green scores 139+. On just the center beam of his pole building, I counted 30 elk racks. He has so many stories to tell. I could never find the time to be able to listen to all of them. I would say conservatively that there are over 200 sets of horns in the shed. All but one rosevelt killed by him or one of the boys or their boys. I think it would make a great article for Bill M, but where would you even begin?
He has 6 horns on the wall that are in the books. He hasn't hunted for the mounts, they are all just skulls and horns. The recordbooks are on wood backs. The others are just on the side rails and posts. I am trying to get this gentleman t let me post his name so some others from the area can go see him. He loves to sit and discuss and and all types of unting. One nice thing is that he is passing his knowledge to his kids and theirs.

The largest collection of horns I have ever seen is in a cabin in upstate New York. About 175 to 200 I havn't counted.
Black Tail - OR.
White Tail - NY. PA. CT. GA. AL.Ont. NFoundland
Mule Deer - OR. CO. WY.
Elk - OR
Caribou - AK
Moose - BC
Red Deer - Scotland
Roebuck - Scotland, Germany
Payou - South America w/blow gun
Antlope - WY

These animals were all hunted by me 2 brothers, my Dad and myself. Only a few have made the book.(White tail, Caribou) I will see if I can get a picture and get it posted. The cabin that the racks are in is about 150 years old and in mint condition. We still hunt out of it and vacation at it. One brother will be satying at it for Thanksgiving this year and trying to add another rack to one of the rooms.

One of the first places that comes to mind is the grocery store in Post Oregon, about an hour east of Prineville. Some of the biggest bucks you will find anywhere, and a few really nice bulls. I heard he is a horn buyer and these horns are mounted up on doe faces, and I have heard he killed all the bucks, I dont know the truth but if anybody could kill this many trophies, they shouldnt be selling canned goods.

The other collection of horns is Stan Aurther in Tillamook. This guy takes vacation to go look for drops in the spring. He has tons of drop horns stacked around his house. Piles in the house, piles in the yard. Really quite impressive.

Would love to see a pic Rauly. Not sure I can get one pic to show all of these horns. Was there today and the pole barn is just too big and dark inside. I may try to get a few pics and get them posted.

One of the biggest sets of horns that I have seen is over at my grandpas place.
3 Moses with one of them big as me.
Lots and lots of elk racks. One 6x7 and a lots of 5x5 and one of the 5x5 was a really old bull. Rack on it was 50 some odd inches.
Not to many big bucks only a few 6x6 and 4x4s. Just some big old black tails.
Two Yukon big horned sheep.
A bob cat
3 black bears
One head mount 6x6 bull elk and 4 head mounted big black tail bucks.

So far all I have gotten on the wall are my 4x4 bull elk, an 4x4 black tail buck, an 3x2 and an 2x2 black tail bucks.
I just need to find away to put up my cow elk that skull.
