I saw the posts about a group going to GP but never heard how it went. How was the fishing?

Check out the Snapshot is a Gentleman thread. Sounds like they had fun but the fish weren't schooling yet.

Thanks for asking. The fishing was somewhat spotty and there about 8 boat loads of Ifishers and we had fun? We kept about a dozen and lost at least that many. Several of the other boats were comparable to us but Snapset and wife did much better. They caught 20 fish and then gave them to Weatherford and his birthday daughter. Snapset said it was a slow day and invited me back for another try when it improves. He knows this lake and was very gracious to share his knowledge and tatics.

What a great way to learn something about a new lake. I will go back arough the 4th and give it another shot.

The cupcakes at the floating bathroom were good and our little birthday girl ended up being the Kokanee Queen for the day. You guys were great and made her very happy on her 10th birthday. She was all smiles all day and kept looking at the little fishing gifts she received. Wish all of you could have seen the smiles all day. She could not believe so many people knew it was her birthday. I would like to have heard her tell Mom what happened.

Overall, a great day, good company, not much rain, no telephones and we caughts some fish. And it will be a long time before the Kokanee Queen forgets this birthday.
Does it get any better?

Glad everybody had a good time. We didn't get the boat ready on time for Saturday, so missed the party, but did go out on Sunday. No fish finder yet, but at least we got the downriggers installed. We put 3 fish in the boat for 2 hours of fishing (short trip this time ...). We met SpinnerGal at the dock and that was nice. The fish we had were healthy, the biggest of which was just over 13" and fat. Should be a good year for Kokes!
