Last I knew the market for pelts was way down. maybe $10 for a real good pelt. That isn't worth skinning, scraping, an stretching the thing.. When I was in highschool in Indiana about... well, it was a few years ago. We would get between 15 and 25 dollars for nice No. 1 coon hides.

Some of you people might remember the great rabbit infestation in the early, maybe late 70's. Pelts up to then were about 100.00...guts and all. After the rabbit plague....the price dropped and never recovered....That was some fun times .......truck loads of rabbits.....

Wow, this brings back some memories...coon hunting with my dad and grandfather. I didn't know it at the time, but my dad said he pay for all our X-mas presents with the money he made from the coon pelts. He said that a big boar in good shape could get as much as $40! And here I just thought he liked chasing those dogs in the dark all night long.

I haven't got the Goldberg Fur price list but you should be able to go to the Seatle phone book and look up Goldberg fur company. There might even be a web site might be spelled goldburg Ill try and report back

I couldn't find goldberg in the web pages you might also try the Oregon Territorial Council On Furs, Inc. Fur auctions are held through out oregon and washington each winter and coyotes usually bring the highest prices in Prineville and Baker.
