Has anyone noticed how fast the state officials run their vehicles down the brush crowded roads while hunters with dogs are in the fields?
I was watching one white pickup going down one of the narrow brush lined roads at 20 or more mph during the Sept. Pheasant season. Who do the think they are ? Starsky and Hutch, Is their truck named the General? :shocked:
I think of all those dogs, working the cover will pop out in front of the truck one day. I hunt out there because its a safe place for my dog to go out and do his thing and not encounter a scene from Bullit! [img]graemlins/berry.gif[/img]

I hear you. I had a gammie (Nice guy, but driving a little too fast for my interpertation of the "basic rule") speed up and check me for steel shot a few septembers ago. I was ok, then he sped off over the dike and whoknows where. You'd think he was after bankrobbers as fast as he was going.

Maybe us duckhunters should start wearing blaze orange while we are pushing our carts out to the blind Just so we don't get ran over.
