Trip We won with Perry’s Fishing adventure’s
Well at Ifishstock last year DAB (Don) put his ticket in to win a estuary sturgeon trip with Val Parry for Estuary Sturgeon.(Perry’s fishing adventure’s) Well Dab had to leave early so he told me to take his tickets and whatever he won I could have. Ha he did not know I am suck a nice Guy that when the trip was drawn and his ticket won so I won I told him I would take him.
So we booked out Trip for Sunday June 5th so we had a long time to look forward to this trip. We got to the ramp about 6:30am and were off We ran down river for about 15 minutes in the cold wind and I thought to myself this is going to be a long day of rain cold and shakers (shorts). Boy was wrong! We get anchored and the first rod gets tossed out in the water and just as Val puts the rod in the holder we get bit so DAB grabs the rod and puts the hurt on a nice fat 48” gator Very nice fish and not even five minutes on anchor I am starting to think this might not be a bad day after all. So we fish there for a wile and get a few more shakers and move on to a new spot. We anchored up down river from the bridge and are not getting very many bites fish are showing on the fish finder and then Boom one rod goes on I jump on it and it is another shaker. But as I get mine closer to the boat the other rod goes of DAB jumps up and grabs Sets the hook and the fish just takes of like a freight train Even to the point were Dab burnt his thumb cause he had it on the spool while setting the hook. So I hand my rod off to Val’s Nephew to finish up with the shaker and I take the rod from Dab he already has his fish its my turn. Once I got the rod in my hand I realize this is not the little fish I am use to catching. So after about 30 minutes of tug-o-war I get my fish to the boat. It ended up going 73 inches and as big around if not bigger around then a basket ball so off it went on its way to make babies. We got several more good size fish through the day. Not to mention the three flounder that found there way into the box (bonus)
It was a great day on the water I just want to say thank you to Val for donating the trip to Ifish, and to Ifish and Jennie for the chance at getting me my first oversize sturgeon (I want another one what a rush)
I want to say if anyone is looking to get out and get some sturgeon Val is the guy to call. He also does Salmon halibut and other trips the wife and I are talking about doing a trip this fall with him. Rp

Re: Trip We won with Perry’s Fishing adventure’s
I fished with Val in the past and hope to do so again real soon. He is an excellent guide with good gear and can definitely put you on the fish. Both his son and daughter are excellent fisher people also, looking forward to fishing with them all real soon. Give him a call you won't be disappointed.

Way to go Ryan and DAB. Two great guys with a great guide and catching some great fish. Doesn't get much better than that.

Ryan and Don;
thanks for the comments. But the pleasure was all ours. Fishing with two guys that are always laughing and joking around, loving the opportunity to just be fishing is awesome.
You are examples of the fishing is always great catching is some times another matter. We did find good numbers of fish and the last two days were also very good. It is getting better daily.
I am having a problem with the camera cable and will forward photos ASAP.
Again thanks for the day, and comments about us. BTW thanks for mentioning Jon. He is without a doubt a top notch angler at a very young age as is his sisters.
See you guys soon. Brings the Banana's and fried Chicken!!
