I ve never had a chemical cleaning done. all I know about them is that theyuse nasty chemicals and dry much faster, like 3-4 hours instead of 24 hours.

I do know that there are several VERY good carpet cleaning outfits around corvallis and that the big outfits aren't particularly the best ones.

Thanks, since we aren't moving in for a week and a half, I think drying time is not an issue. I am really leaning to steam cleaning, very hot steam. So fare Stanley Steemer seems to have the best to offer.

Many carpet manufacturers specify hot water extraction method as the only approved method for cleaning, in fact some's warranties require it at specific intrevals.

We recently used R & C Carpet Cleaning. They are a relatively small, family run business in Canby, however, they do work all over the State. They did a very good job for us at a very reasonable price.

I think their phone number is 503 266 3578. If that doesn't work, let me know. I will get it for you if you are interested.
