Dampainter,

I looked into one of those when I first moved into Oregon. I figured that not knowing anything about hunting and fishing the state it was a great way to learn. It was very expensive and restrictive. If I remember correctly there was an initiation fee of $4000 and $350 per month. The country club of hunting! The properties that they listed looked good, but you had to get on a list for the best properties. Be careful and ask lots of questions. Good Luck!

Years ago I joined one. I think it was $1k to join and about $600/yr. I had access to dozens of duck clubs, deer/pig ranches. fishing properties, Quail/Doves, camping, some out of state stuff. Some friends went to a Colorado ranch and came back with some incredible Mule deer. The ranches were from 3-60,000 acres, many waterfowl properties 90-2500 acres had pit blinds and decoys already there. Sure there was competition to get on some of these properties especially on openers, but usually I got to go where I wanted. I did a lot of hunting and I took a lot of game.
You do have rules so if you are not a rule follower type, it's not for you. It was great for families too.
