fishing reports from everywhere
i would like to see a permanent topic like (life in general)with the main thread about fishing reports from all over the world. not that i have the time or money to go fishing to these areas but i would find it very interesting to hear a report from redwing on the mississippi catfishing, or flamming gorge reservoir on large rainbows, colorado trout fishing, walleyes on the missouri, browns in south america, salmon in alaska. from normal people, not hyped up by guides or newspaper reports written by the local chamber of commerce member working for the paper.

Re: fishing reports from everywhere
there are sites out there like you ask.
For me..it's all about our local area.
The salty dogs and the main board do include member reports from various vacations abroad.
I will send you a link in a pm for a site like your looking for

Re: fishing reports from everywhere
I've spent exactly 4 weeks of my life in the Pac NW and I still love to read this site.......I check it every day...I'd be happy to occasionally post a report on our fishery here in New England.....let's start now.
6-4-05
Fished the incoming tide in the Ipswich River where it enters into the Atlantic near the southern tip of Plum Island, Mass. Threw Yozouri Mag Minnows and managed one keeper striped bass (28in) and many, many micros. Love to cast the in and around the sand bars during low tide....as the days pass the fishing gets better and better as the migration of striped bass is in full swing.....Sped

Re: fishing reports from everywhere
i hope it is possible to have a permanent spot for sharing the special fishing places we all have, or dream of going. i know we have it pretty good for fishing oportunitys here in the n/w but the world is full of good fishing spots and i would like to hear about them from regular fishermen/women. with this site open worldwide as it is on the web it has good potential for growth in fishing fanatics and their reports.

Re: fishing reports from everywhere
Abalone.......trout fish the east coast streams??...Unless you go way the heck up in Maine the trout fishing is lousy....I mean really lousy....all stocked here in Massachusetts and most rivers are literally fished out within 3 weeks of the stocking truck's visit.....at least that's the story here in New England........For the best trout fishing around just stay put......in the glorious Pac NW......Sped

Re: fishing reports from everywhere
Indeed it does.......nothing like you guys though......we've got a good run in the Connecticut River....we fish it primarily with shad darts.....There is a dam in Holyoke Mass where they all stack up and it's like merry mayhem there.....The banks are beaten to dirt and there must be 100 tons of lead on the bottom of the river from people bustin' off......
Striper and blue fish are where it's at now....all in the ocean...
...and yup, we got strippers too.....Sped
