LP (analog) to MP3 Conversion, the EZ Way?
Following up on Blackdog's question...
Have there been any new tools/breakthroughs that make it easy to convert LP records to a file and then onto a CD?
Id sure like to free up some space and pack away into storage a lot of my LPs (but I'm not nearly ready to let GOODWILL get their mitts on my Stiff Little Fingers, Ultravox, Hawkwind, Psychadelic Furs or Bruce Springsteen bootleg, vinyl).
I understand the older analog-to-digital techniques were a bit tricky to master. Is there anything simpler available now (other than paying someone to do it?)

Well, its certainly essential to get your Hawkwind into the modern age.
I don't know of an easy way to do it. I know that its possible to get a soundcard that has RCA connectors in, at which point you'd use a hunk of software to make a series of MP3s. Its something I've wanted to do for a while but never really had a pressing need.

Got PXR5 by any chance?

In mint vinyl, protected by archive cover sleeve cocoon,
of course, in case of sonic attack.
Most fortunately, the postman just delivered "EpochEclipse, 3cd, 30 yr, anthology. Gotta Silver Machine waiting....later
