Sturgeon Fishing 1-19 w/pictures!
Small Fry and myself took a sturgeon virgin out fishing for the first time. I don't think he really understands how good it was. We boated at least 60 fish measured 15+ fish. Small Fry did one heck of a job with the boat position. On the first try only one rod was getting bit good. Small Fry made a command decision and pulled anchor to move 10' towards shore. Reset the anchor and put out the rods and had constant action on all three rods for the rest of the day.
Pictured and the best of show we actually realesed the last fish of the day a keeper while we were putting everything away Chris was still getting bit and decided to catch one more. It was surely another keeper. The ones picture are 42.5 44 and 45 the 42.5 was missing about 2" of it's tail the short and long section of tail were equal length and it still measured good.
I can honestly say it was the best day on the water for number and quality of fish ever!! Thanks Small Fry for taking us out! BTW Small Fry drew the short stick and had to take pictures. He also caught the smallest fish  He isn't very photogenic anyways.

Re: Sturgeon Fishing 1-19 w/pictures!
What Doug didn't mention was we were fishing in the Columbia, Just down stream from the mouth of the Will. Water temp in the CR was only 1/2 of a degree lower then the Will. The bite stayed steady even after the tide change.
I am now convinced that the bigger fish sit in the up river end of the deep holes. We moved 20 feet to get all three rods steady action. I have to say I haven't measured that many fish in one day before. I guess I'm getting old I had to take a break around noon so I could eat something.

Nice fish guys. Sounds like fun and I'm jealous. Now who's going to buy a boat first?

Re: Sturgeon Fishing 1-19 w/pictures!
From the former "Sturgeon Virgin":
Thanks Steve and Doug for a great day fishing.
BTW, what Doug forgot to mention was that the last fish the last one that I caught was, well, all I can say is "Mine is bigger."
Thanks again guys I really had a great time.
Chris
