Default Duck hunting Gerber Res?

Any of you waterfowlers ever hunt ducks around Gerber Res? Keta?

I know, I know, why would you drive by Klamath to hunt a lesser-known place. I don't know, other than I like to explore different venues. I've hunted antelope in the Gerber area, but never anything else. It's a pretty nice area, but I'll bet it's dry or at least drawn way down because of the drought.

Anybody been there this year?

Default Re: Duck hunting Gerber Res?

skein,
I haven't, but I will check with friends that live in Lorela when they get back from hunting elk in the Hepner Unit.

If you want to come down here to hunt let me know and I will try to get you on a large private lake (mostly marsh) near Dairy. Lots of geese there.

I could also take you down to Lost River or the Klamath below Miller Island. I don't waterfoul hunt any more but I would enjoy getting out and watching the ducks and gease come into the deeks again. I have several dozen duck and goose decoys we can use too (not for sale).

Not many birds in the Basin yet but there are some.

We could also talk TUN NAAAAAAAAA too  !
