Default Sockeye Question

Does Oregon get any regular Sockeye runs? I know they run up to Washington Lake in WA, but haven't seen much regarding OR runs. Seems they would be pretty fun to fish for on a fly or light gear.

Muchas gracias,

-Rich

For all I know there is nothing actually worth fishing for. Check the run numbers at Bonneville. We do get a few.

Ironic that you're calling this out. When we were sturgeon fishing on Saturday, we saw what we thought were two sockeye (green heads/red bodies) passing near our boat pretty close to the surface.
