Default Willamette Shad

Hit the Willy yesterday after church for a couple hours. Used the now famous red bead, swivel and hook. Had a lot of action in a two hour period. Took my father-in-law out for the first time and when he saw the bare hook and no spinner or flasher on his outfit, he thought I was joking with him. I put it out and it took at least two minutes for his rod to go off. My wife came with us just to help out and pretty up the scenery and was I ever glad she was there. Two rods and we doubled 3 different times. She was busy netting. But the great one was when, during one of the doubles, the shad decided to do some maneuvers to severely tie the lines together and she netted two at once. Great afternoon on the river.

Did you give him any recipes?

Tell him I said Hi.

RNL,

We fished next to you today, we were in the Black Duckworth. The action continued hot after you moved. Green and white dick nite seemed to out fish all other home made items we used. We landed about 40 from 8am to 11am. My 11 year old son landed the most with 20 to the boat.
