Default Boat Camo

I'm looking for some camo material for my 19' boat. Needs to be at least 10'x20'. Something i can throw over the boat and than slip it into the reeds. I gotta cover up that purty red paint. anybody got something lying around in the garage they don't need anymore?

I'm still looking too. All I can say is don't try that German (I think) camo netting they use to cover artillary pieces. It's held together with netting on the back and camo on the front. It will absolutely hang up on *everything* in the boat. We tried it once last year and decided it was too dangerous to use.

I was going to suggest the 'tank o flage' that skein reffered to, but he does have a point. I believe that is the only way you are going to find some material that big. Most of it (as sold in catalogues, etc.) seems to max out at about 6x16'. I thought I saw in Cabela's or Mack's a new lightwieght version of the tank camo. The other thing would be try getting ahold of a fabric store where they might be able to custom order the stuff by the running yard. You will probably still have trouble getting a single sheet to cover it though.

The only other thought would be a camo tarp. i have seen a few around, but I don't remember the dimensions.

Good luck and I will let you know if I find anything.

Well guys.......the only color better than "purty red" is of course " purty olive drab". But you may want to check with the wife first. I don't understand what they don't like about olive drab.

Check out www.Sportmansguide.com
Somtimes they have what you are looking for. They even have had camo parachutes there for sale. It might be a option.

I have a 21' NR sled that I use for quaker hunting. I have a tarp that covers the boat completely and then some. The tarp was purchased at Northern tool over the internet. Use yahoo search engine. I think the address is www.Northerntool.com (?) The tarp is a brown camo and it is fairly heavy duty. I had the same dilema befire I found this tarp.

I bought Polyester fabric camo fabric on sale at the fabric store and sewed the fabric together to fit the boat. Cheap !

Bobs in Longview, WA sells cammo material by the yard. Either burlap painted camo, or mesh netting.

I ordered one of the camo tarps from Northern Tool, and I'm going to try it on my inflatable. I'll try to get some pictures posted when I do. Of course, no faster than I move, duck season will be over....
