Default Plug Question? (Pic)

I just bought six of these wee wigglers

What water conditions work best for this color? I thought it would be awesome for low summer runs? Or does it work better in colored water for winter? I am a plug fishing Novice; so Any Info is Greatly Appreciated.....Ross

I would run that plug anytime you are in clearer water conditions. If it has a rattle it will help in colder water. I want to find some if those where did ya get them.

The Storm Wee Warts( I have no experience with the Brad's wee plugs. But these are supposedly replicas of the original Storm product, so take this for what it is worth) were a pain to tune.

That plug will work well whenever the water has at least 4 feet of visibility during the winter. And again when the water warms up to 50 plus degrees.

Good Luck.

Mark and the black is the best color for plugs dog.

Yeah, we call them "Michael Jackson's" because they are so flashy! Maybe we should rename them now... We use them for summers when water is clear.

I saw those up at Bob's last Saturday too. They looked too fishy to pass up, so I bought one also, along with some kwikfish in new colors. It was a good trip.

We call them Michale Jackson w/hemeroids. We use the wiggle warts on the John Day for the B run Steelies in November.

Thanks for the help. Thats what I thought, they look like an awesome summer steelhead plug. I thought someone said, black works best in dirty warter because it silhouettes better.

I use the michael jackson a lot. I never use the one with the red butt though. I like the solid black the best. I have found the best time to use it is real early in the morning or late evening. Sometimes on cloudy dark days it does well also. I also have got a lot of fish, especially big fish trolling it in the dark. Don't ask me how they see it but they do. I have also found that the slower you can troll it the better it works.
