Default DB thru-hull transducer

I am going to put a portable fish finder system into my drift boat. I have heard reports that the way to go is to put a thru-hull transducer under my passenger seat/dry box. Has anyone done this and if so, how did you mount it?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Do a search on this in ifish. This can work if the boat is fiberglass. Just silicone the transducer to the floor.
