Default Heppner Lodging

I'm headed over to Heppner this weekend to do a little scouting before the Elk season and I'm not staying long enough to go through the trouble of packing gear and setting up camp.

Do any of you know of a motel or a place to sleep for a night or two around Heppner?

Suggestions welcomed.

Besides the motels in heppner, there are at least a couple of them, try lehman hotsprings which is about 15 miles east of ukiah, they have cabins and a bunkhouse, and nice hot pools after a long day of scouting.

We go through Hepner often on the way to our cabin at the top of the Blues. There are a couple of motels (don't know names) but there shouldn't be a vacancy problem. By the way, Ukiah is a couple of hours away from Hepner. Try calling the Hepner Chamber of Commerce for lodging information.

Actually, Ukiah is exactly 46 miles from Heppner. Lehman is nice, but about 8-10 miles further. As mentioned, there are hotels but I think there might be cabins at Cutsforth Park, which is probably up closer to where you are hunting.

2 hours?!?, maybe on a bike ZZZZzzz, a large chunck of the Heppner unit has been closed by pioneer resources this year, they either sold the land or the hunting rights. 10 minutes west of ukiah and you're scouting public land in the heppner unit, I'd be looking over the south part closer to monument near the private lands, or johnson creek, or Black mtn., or 5311 road. There, how's that?
