anyplace to shad fish from rooster rock launch

Would like to go shad fishing, never been before, now have a boat, would like to launch out of rooster rock.Is there any place close to there that might be good shad fishing.Any help greatful.Thanks in advance.

Just find good current in 12-20 ft of water, anchor up and give it a shot, if you dont get bit in 20 min, move
Thats what I like to do, or if you make a run down river, the mouth of the washougal always produces shad.

go up stream (lots of water moving need a good size motor) see all the boats catching shad anchor and fish.

Where exactly is the "SHAD RACK" I've heard about this place for 5 years, but never understood what (or where) that was? I know it's upstream from Rooster Rock and Dalton Pt.

Its on the Wa side.Just above the slough for the boat launch at Beacon rock.Its pretty hard to miss,just look for the boats.
