Lured in,

I Can't wait for the opener either! Are you coming down to catch the Oct 5th opener in Oregon or just the main western opener on the 12th? When does WA open ? We did a combo scouting/fishing trip today on the coast. Saw a few birds. Have to figure out how to attack on the tides. Good Luck!

I will probably hit either are short morning here in WA on the 5th for ducks or a full day out in eastern OR on the 6th. (My two boys have soccer games on Saturday's and I coach one of the teams and asst. coach the other, so I kinda have to be there. )

I got denied for a reservation out at Sauvie for the first 3 hunt days so I will probably be in the sweat line after the OR westside opens up.

A buddy has another area down by Lewis & Clarke scouted out so that is a possiblity too for the west side opener. (Lucky for me both boys have 'byes' on the 12th for soccer.)

FYI I saw lots of 'birds' out at Ridgefield today. I am sure I am not the only one though.

My wife was looking at me and the dog like we were crazy as we sat in the muddy yard looking at the night sky listening to the snows go by.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">...made me think of the time I heard some Canada's one morning right before season opened, and grabbed my goose flute and ran out and gave 'em my best "here we are, right here" sequence. My wife - and the neighbors who drove by - thought I looked a little silly out by the lillac bush in my bathrobe and slippers. I, on the other hand, was oblivious to propriety or dress codes, especially when they turned and came right over the house, tree-top high. Man did that stir the blood!

Is it time yet?
