Default Charleston/Coos Bay Tuna June 21-25

I'm taking a weeks vacation after Father's Day and going back home to Coos Bay to visit the folk's (week long fishing trip ). I'm wondering if we should bring along some tuna gear with the boat or just stick to coho. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated or maybe a running mate or two if the weather flattens out.

Thanks,
James

I would be putting the gear in the boat. If you don't you may be kicking yourself..

Ok....I guess I asked for that . What I should have asked was, "having loaded the boat up with tuna rods, jigs, the drop tanks, and 300lbs of ice, where would one find tuna out of Charleston at the end of June?"

Yes it does. I heard that someone spotted jumping TUNA 27 miles out of Newport on their way to the ranch on Saturday.

I too will be in the Coos Bay area this summer. 10 - 17 July. It has been a long time since I did any serious fishing down there and most of that was in the bay and streams. This year I plan to chase and "catch" salmon and tuna from down there.

How about it Mellow Yellow and Tail Chaser, when and where would you go?
