Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
Argh... My son is going to travel all the way to 185th with his friends to see the 12:00 AM opening of the movie.
I am scared spitless to have him drive home with all the drunks on the road at that time.
But.... This is his senior celebration thing.
Is anyone else going?

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
Wish I was still young enough to have that much get-up-and-go! If I didn't leave for work at 5am every day, I'd do it!!
Rave reviews on this one, the final installment...hope it's much better than the last two!!

I think you are right. I'm just being Mom.

Who is driving? You might want to sit down and have a little talk witn them regarding drinking, driving, speed limit, horseplay, defensive driving, drowsy driving seatbelts etc.

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
Anyone else going you ask? I'm old enough that I can't remember the last time I stayed up until midnight. Bed by 10:00 and up at 5:00. I just can't keep my eyes open late at night anymore.

I would fall asleep. I think I will check it out in a matinee this week depending on crowds (I hate big movie crowds).

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
I'm more likely to get up at 3 AM rather than be going to bed. A theater showing at Midnight? I ussually fall asleep in front of a DVD showing by 10:00.

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
not jsut one showing!! there is a theater in Salem that is showing it in ALL of their theaters...three shows at 12:01am, two shows at 12:02am, and another starting at 12:03am
If I didnt have a big physics test coning up on friday Id be on Fandango getting set up for the opening night show. I like to go and watch the crowds of dressed up people and see the comraderie.
I dont go often but I took the kids to the last Harry potter as a family outing and the wife and I did the midnight opener of Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I think we have hit our quota of midnight shows for a while though.

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
Pretty good, not great I am a big fan, but Lucas just doesn't have the magic anymore. He needed to bring in some different writers because the man really has no clue on how to write dialog

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
I would have to say the movie was classic Star Wars... look at the first 3, they had cheesy dialog too. Star Wars is supposed to be that cheesy sci-fi comic book come to life!
Did anyone else notice General Grevious (sp?) eyes and his beating black heart... those sure looked like Darth Maul's eyes

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
Interesting idea 5 Cents? I love the general story of Star Wars but think Lucas lost it afer the 1st one. Was ad to see Anaken choose the Dark side. I really liked him, and his love affair with the princess. Evil only leads to one place, He11!

Re: Revenge of the Sith... Anyone going tonight?
I watched the new one again, and felt better about it. EP1 was utter garbage, EP2 had some moments, but was not really that good, but EP3 was good...very solid. Portman looked lost, but that didn't really mess things up too much since there were plenty of nice scenes to overshadow the flaws.
I would have liked to seen a more detailed view of Anakin's journey to the dark side....after all, that was the whole point of the new trilogy.
I decided to watch IV-VI again and it is pretty cool how Vader(and Kenobi, for that matter) takes on a new light, so I guess George pulled that off nicely.
