Default Astoria Gators

Planning a trip to chase some gators out of Astoria this Friday and Saturday with some friends. Any reports? Has the outgoing or incoming tides been the most productive? I checked the tides and high tide is around noon. Should be a good outgoing all afternoon. As I recall the outgoing is usually better. Anchovies, sandshrimp and smelt are my baits of choice. Hope to see some ifishers down there. Let me know what channel your on and I will give you a call.

Fished out going tide yesterday. Used smelt, shrimp and sardines..NOT ONE BITE.
We tried all up and down the river.
Sorry for a dissapointing report.

I've heard its been really, really slow fishing so far too. I guy I know knows one of the charter captains down there and they only got 1 sturgeon and 4 flounder for a boat load of people last weekend... and they fished all day!
